My wife got this for me after a close call with a thug. Right off the bat, I could tell this looked pretty intimidating as it closely resembles an actual gun. It must be working since each time I keep this thing gripped in my hand heading out from work, none of the characters looming around my work have messed with me since. It’s pretty easy reloading a cartridge. One cartridge is just filled with water so you can get the feel of this thing, which I think is pretty important that you get the chance to familiarize yourself with any means to save your life. Sure enough, just like the package says, this gun can shoot up to 20 feet away putting plenty of distance between yourself and trouble. When not in use, it’s good to keep the safety on to reduce the chance of painful accidents. The safety is pretty easy to switch on and off with a single finger. Not only that but the built in light distracts your attacker while you take aim. There’s no additional button mashing to activate the light too. Just squeeze the trigger halfway to activate the light as a strobe or steady light. The Mace pepper gun 2.0 is definitely a recommendation in my books.
